After graduating from St. Louis University School of Law, Mr.
Schaeffer was admitted to the Missouri and Illinois bars in 1990. He
is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for
the Eastern District of Missouri, the Southern District of Illinois,
and various United States Court of Appeals.
In addition to mass torts and class action litigation, Mr.
Schaeffer's areas of practice include complex commercial and tort
litigation and general civil litigation. Mr. Schaeffer is a member
of the Missouri Bar and the Illinois Bar.
Mr. Schaeffer's
publications include the book

Checklists and Strategies,
How to Feed a Lawyer (and Other Irreverent Observations from the Legal
Underground), as well as articles in many
newspapers and magazines, including the Chicago Tribune,
the Houston Chronicle, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

which have received notice in many print publications,
including the New York Times, The Economist, and
the Illinois Bar Journal.
